A note from the instructor
  1. I recommend the Drake or Barton Chip Carving Knife as it holds an edge for a considerable amount of time. They run $28.50 to $32.50 A very good investment for future carvers as well. Or your favorite Chip Knife
  2. The Ceramic Stones can be purchased for about $60 a set. Again a wise investment.
  3. A very inexpensive T-Square will do the job which can be purchased at any craft store.
  4. Any Mechanical Pencil will also do the job.
  5. Easy to come by graphite paper in any craft store
  6. Basswood Practice Board
  7. Compass  Can Be purchased at any craft store as well for approximately $8-12
  8. A white eraser will not leave smudge marks on your project.
